Representations of teenagers in the mail 'Teenagers' pea-sized brains'- Mail Online This article initially features negative phrases relating to teenagers such as: 'everyone knows teenagers are impossible' which portrays ALL teens in a general category, in a negative light however, as the article continues it expands on these negative terms and excuses a lot of negative teenage behaviour due to physiology of teens' brains. However this article is also controversial as it does refer to teens using negative language yet also excuses it for the reasons previously mentioned. For example it says that teens are 'lazy slobs' however it claims that the reason behind this is that 'it is a brain thing'. So overall it represents teens negatively but excuses this behaviour. The Big issue magazine covers Liam Gallagher The main image is of an iconic British artist mostly recognised from the famous British band called Oasis. The colour theme presented here is interesting. It cleverly encapsulates the artists features. For example the main, background colour is a light blue/turquoise shade which is a similar colour to the artists eyes. Also there are other features that match the colour scheme for example Liam's outfit featuring a bright pink raincoat jacket is a similar shade to the shade of his lips and tear ducks. The traditional colours seen in magazines, white and black are also featured in the mast head as well as the artist's name and speech text. This adds a simplistic elegance to the magazine because although the other colours featured are bright and fit with a summer season colour scheme, which indicates when the magazine was published. Statement of intent draft 1 Media Language The intention of my productions for my coursework will be to produce a realistic Dance music video featuring the song 'Summer' By Calvin Harris. as well as a cohesive website for the dance Dj that i have created. The video will present many conventions of the dance music genre as well as featuring the artist .  for the mies-en-scene in terms of clothing I will use typical summer clothing such as beach dresses and bikinis to illustrate a dance party theme and summer settings.  for the camera work i will include the usage of summer holiday settings and having moments of slow motion to evoke relaxation as well as contrasting fast motion shots, with ranging angles, such as closeups to wide angle shots.
